Uniforms and Equipment of the Imperial Japanese Army in World War II

“Uniforms and Equipment of the Imperial Japanese Army in World War II” by Mike Hewitt  is one of the few books about Imperial Japanese Army uniforms and equipment. It features a nice array of original uniforms and equipment. All the basics are covered from uniforms, field equipment; cold weather uniforms,  personal items and headwear to firearms. The acompaning text is well written and informative. Sadly the photos are a bit soft. For some items i do miss close ups and photos showing them from different angles. It is still a very good all round IJA reference work though and since there is no other book published in english abut this subject matter (at least that I know of) it’s a must for IJA collectors and reenactors anyways.
