Corpsman Bolo Knife

Bolo knife as used by Hospital Corpsmen in WW2. This one was manufactured by “Village Blacksmith”. Other known manufacturers are Briddell, Chatillion, Clyde Cutlery and Fayette R. Plumb. The scabbard was made by Boyt in 1942 and is marked U.S. BOYT 42. Later on Scabbards where usually marked USMC and not U.S.
