Custom M1903A1 Springfield

One thing really missing for doing an early WWII USMC impression and playing airsoft is a 1903 Springfield rifle. KTW made one some years ago but it is was very expensive and rare. From what info i could find on it the build quality was great but its performance as an airsoft rifle was not very good. So at the moment the only option is building a custom airsoft Springfield. Here is a nice one done by Mitrano. Sadly it is not mine ๐Ÿ˜ก

The conversion is based on an ACM M70. Here are a few mixed pics, all courtesy of Mitrano:

A short vid showing the custom 1903 in action:

Check out this Marine Corps sniper (he looks like Tom Cruise ๐Ÿ˜ฏ ) he uses a 1903 + Unertl scope, the coolest sniper rifle of all time ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Update: Some more pics!

  1. M1Pencil- have you ever considered building one for yourself? I have zero experience but I built a passable BAR-10 conversion in about 10 hours. While the bolt/receiver group isn’t finished yet, I have the stock, handguard, and sights all fitted.

I dearly wanted a M1903A3 for my USMC loadout and I got it done with surprising ease. Its ugly up close but from ten feet I have to look twice to make sure which one is my real 03A3

  2. I thought about building a custom one but have been too busy lately. If i find the time i will give it a try! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. where abouts can a person aquire a unertl scope like the one seen in the photo?
