Head Honcho!

You probably heard of the expression “head honcho” or simply “honcho” referring to the “boss” or “person in charge”. Do you know where it comes from? In Japanese “Hancho” is the word for squad leader. Some times during WW2 American soldiers probably picked this up and it transformed into “honcho” 😀
