USMC BAR Gunner Korean War

mbr9

Airsoft, yeah! šŸ˜€Ā  Here is my Korean War USMC BAR gunner impression that I used last Saturday

The VFC BAR is one heavy fu#*er! The carry handle helps a bit but balancing is not great, it’s quite exhausting to haul it around…

…especially in challenging terrain. Also I’m not sure how sturdy the VFC barrel is and using the carry handle a lot could be risky.

Blam, blam, blam, blam………… šŸ˜ˆ the modded BAR mags worked very well, feeding was ace! If you have trouble with your BAR high caps you might want to convert them

And thus ends a day in the Korean mountains šŸ˜‰

  1. Nice touch with the vest. I’ve only ever seen one in Dungaree’s and Frogskins.

  2. Interesting impression and great photo. šŸ™‚

  3. Thanks guys! šŸ™‚ @BAP45 not really a “WW2 item” but saw quite a lot of use in Korea if you look closely

    • True, I’ve never seen one in the flesh and to be honest haven’t really looked into getting one. (living in essentially a desert makes cold weather stuff hard to swallow, ha) Little details like that are what really set your shoots apart.

and as always super jealous of your fields :p

  4. Hey saw these on ebay. Thought you might be interested

  5. Great impression! I was thinking of putting a ww2 impression together and was wondering if your canteen covers are original or repro. If they are repro, from where?

    • Hi, this one is a repro. I have a whole bunch of repro covers and can’t remember the maker of this one. Probably WPG, ATF or WWII Impressions XD

  6. Where did you purchase the P1944 trousers from? Great photos, by the way.

  7. Where did you purchase your trousers from?

  8. hi! nice too meet you. i’m southe korea’s ww2 & korean war airsoft gamer.
i only play USMC, play korean army some times. your photo is verry cool.

    this is me. in KIMPO.

    in INCHON.

i always thank to all ww2 & korean war & vietnam war veterans. god bless america!

  9. I was wondering if the USMC mixed tropical wool shirts with hbt trousers during Korea. There’s a photo of a man in ’51 named Herb Wong with this combination. I’m just wondering if it would be correct for an impression? Thanks in advance.
